Politiques d'appartenances, Anahita Norouzi, 2021-2022
Anahita Norouzi is an Iranian-born artist who was forced to leave her native country in 2010 to come and live in Canada. Through her installation work, she explores themes of migration, belonging and the search for identity. She is interested in her own body (to create a personal narrative) but also in that of others (refugees).
This work, and I quote: ‘examines the ways in which the production of knowledge linked to a colonial mentality disfigures nature, creates artificial landscapes and distorts the relationships between humans and plants (....).’
